Oh, I forgot to mention that Im interested in finding people to help me with enhancing the graphics. Basically the idea is to do something akin to an HD remake. At the moment graphics are just expanded to twice the size both horizontally and vertically, so there's plenty of room for smoothing things out and/or adding a little more detail to the existing (ripped) graphics I've been using.

@clusteruk, I'm a beginner so I don't really have any preferences, I want to get down and dirty with code and want to help out with what I can, so I have a feeling I'll be poking around a bit all over the place.

I do like useful things over making things fancy for fancy sake, if that makes sense.

@manu, I am sort of, I'm using VirtualBox until I can get a dedicated dev box set up so it's a battle to get it running I'm afraid, but it's all done with a smile and a bit of "Damnit, there IS a way to get it working" ;)

I want to get into dev'ing for the Amiga in general, I like open source and want to help out, I'm going to try to get a SAM (flex) when I can afford it, and will be dev'ing for OS4.x as well as AROS.

Hi,

So I installed a version of AROS with the help of an awesome person on the IRC channel, but one problem occured, I kept getting this weird PIPEFS error every time I tried to boot into it from the HDD, now, I was using VirtualBox btw. what worked for me was to use E in the grub menu and change the ATA=32bit to ATA=nodma and voila it worked!

It was hard for me to find this little tidbit on the forum, so here it is in additional form.

If you don't care about the license, then you can just download the source to SDL and start substituting code. It will be LGPL but it will at least work on AGA.
