And i _am_ allowed to put in a real date, not ? (e.g. 21-10-11 / 21-oct-11 )

using yesterday/tommorow etc seem to work ok, and using weekday names (monday etc) also

it just gives this error using a date with the formats being advertised as supported by StrToDate() function.

(Since i screwed up earlier, i just wanna make sure i am not loosing my sanity here )

Unfortunately, i need a v0 shared sdl lib and fpc headers to be able to use it dynamically.

Afaik both are missing . I'm working on the SDL-headers.

red: wow. with all respect to the author, but he seem to have missed the concept of pascal and/or oop -> labels, gotos, lots of spaghetti-code and not the least a missing unit . It almost seems a literal conversion from basic or asm (except for the GUI-part which was created with lazarus).

what AROS/Icaros release are you using to reproduce this issue?

Also, do you have a network card supported by AROS in one of your AGP machine? I'm trying to solve an issue with AGP-Nvidia and networking so maybe you can help betatesting it :)

EDIT: OK, I can reproduce it also with May 14 Nightly (SVN: 45626) - after teapot, AROS freeze.

AFAIR, after the "Kernel-Backport" done by DeadWood, the AGP-Nvidia cards didn't perform so good as before. I think the last "old-ABI-V0-vanilla" kernel is from 22nd of November 2012, if you can get hold of that, or an Icaros release that uses a kernel not later than that, you can check if it works better.

I have Amiga Forever 2013 from Cloanto and this has Aros running through WinUAE using the 68020 and FPU. Problem is it crashes WinUae so very nearly almost the capability of running Aros within windows.

I'm building a window from scratch and now I understand how to do it.

theodor heuss? really? there was one near the westend s-bahn station, in spandauer damm i guess in mid 90ies, later around 2000 only a small shop in the richard-sorge-strasse in the east was left. his owner, heavy smoker, claimed 1ghz amigas were just around the corner, but eventually even him had to close.

Classic AmigaOS (and therefore i assume AROS, still untested) allows you to put '*', '|', '?' and other special characters in file/drawer-names that can cause problems, just like Cinnamon does on your Icaros Distribution.
(like in adams case - with the list command, which prevents his script from running ok)

Since Kalamatee proposed to not advertise this kind of usage, i would kindly suggest to rename the offending files and drawers in Icaros.

Furthermore i think it might be helpfull to explain in the dosmanual to _not_ use such characters in filenames (based on Kalamatee's request).

I merely proposed to write/explain how to deal with such filenames in the shell and add some additional infiormation about restrictions of the underlying filesystem (or as kalamatee explained, also the layer that runs on top of that, which i assumed he meant is dos).

There is no confusion on my part whatsoever concerning the usage of the '|' character as generic pipe symbol or with patterns as 'or' operator

It's the usage of like the '|' character in a file and/or drawername that is undetermined/undescribed.

aros is something like a great sax jazz solo, never done, never finished, hope it will last long and go on evolving.

Problem solved and I don't even now how. I kept trying and trying until it got connected.

I hope I don't have this issue again when I change ISP in my new place.
