I can confirm that some CD-ROMs, either being them pysical or ISO files mounted as virtual CDs, can lock up Icaros Desktop 1.2 and maybe AROS in general. I din't check on recent builds, though.

I also can't attach files. Note that list of allowed file types is empty, perhaps this is the source of the problem.

Did not know about that either. I searched for such a function in AmigaOS 3.1, but it was added later on in 3.5 as far as I remember. Then I discovered, it also exists in AROS.

And yes, it should use all parameters set in the icon.

Btw, for AmigaOS 3.1 there is a wbstart.library (aminet) with similar functionality.

c610 is better supported than the c510.
very little reliable information about c510 on the net.

Graphics - if radeon see below
Audio - maestro3 - no support (i think)
USB - yep
Ethernet - ?

Graphics - Radeon - driver works but depends if anything displays - works externally
Audio - ac97.audio should work
USB - yep
Ethernet - 3com 3c905C should work

A500s are classic it was my first amiga as with most people
in a club i used to frequent i only ever knew of 1 single A1000
and later when the 2000/1500 was out they couldnt shift them nobdy could
aford them only a few companys owned the amiga machines over amstrad's yuky 1512 plastic pc and then came amd's 386 super 486 killer chip and the rest is history as they say the only other big leap was 3dfx blitter for pc and internet

Help:: Nightly builds installed on top of Icaros Desktop?
Icaros includes alot of extra programs that are not in the nightly builds. Is it therefore possible to bring an Icaros installation up to date by installing a nighty build over the top of it? If so, how?

Thought I would ask before attempting this to see if it's possible...

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Icaros Desktop:: Python and random module
Hi all,

I try to use Python distribution on Icaros Desktop 1.2 last update, but a problem stop me, when use stantement to import module random, I get an error that claims the binascii module (binascii.py) was missed. This mudule is imported from random.py module.
This module is really missing from lib/python 2.5.2 dir.
Any of you have an idea on what is the cause of this error? or why this module was missing?
