I'm working on the SDL-headers.

red: wow. with all respect to the author, but he seem to have missed the concept of pascal and/or oop -> labels, gotos, lots of spaghetti-code and not the least a missing unit . It almost seems a literal conversion from basic or asm (except for the GUI-part which was created with lazarus).

Quote:

nikosg wrote:
Yesterday i ran for first time the script StartMesaDemos in 1.5.2 (nouveau) and my PC frozen after loading teapot. When i run only teapot or booting in vesa mode, everything is fine.
I tried to my other PC with the same results.
I found an old 1.3.2 live DVD, booted in native mode and again everything was fine.

My configs:
1) Athlon XP 2800+ 2GB ram, nforce2, nvidia fx-5200 AGP.
2) Intel E4600 2GB ram, P4M800, nvidia GF-7600GS AGP.

Hi Nikosg,

what AROS/Icaros release are you using to reproduce this issue?

Also, do you have a network card supported by AROS in one of your AGP machine? I'm trying to solve an issue with AGP-Nvidia and networking so maybe you can help betatesting it :)

Cheers

--LuKe

EDIT: OK, I can reproduce it also with May 14 Nightly (SVN: 45626) - after teapot, AROS freeze.

AFAIR, after the "Kernel-Backport" done by DeadWood, the AGP-Nvidia cards didn't perform so good as before. I think the last "old-ABI-V0-vanilla" kernel is from 22nd of November 2012, if you can get hold of that, or an Icaros release that uses a kernel not later than that, you can check if it works better.

Hi
I have Amiga Forever 2013 from Cloanto and this has Aros running through WinUAE using the 68020 and FPU. Problem is it crashes WinUae so very nearly almost the capability of running Aros within windows.

All key input is managed from a single point (through MUIM_HandleEvent) and a switch on the keys as defined in rawkeycodes.h

Quote:

Great! Switching modes should be in there (e.g. scientific, programmer, etc) aswell as bases. You might also want to put the ticker tape display option in here and have it turned off by default if that's not already the case.

Good point, will note this down too (scribble... scribble...)

Quote:

Im not sure exactly what you mean here? If you simply want to use the external class as-is then just create an instance of its object and use it like a normal window object. If you want to create a custom version then create your override class using the external one as its parent, then create the actual custom class and instance of it.

I'm building a window from scratch and now I understand how to do it.
Only thing I still don't have clear when I want to close this window: I see that the attribute MUIA_Window_CloseRequest is correctly intercepted by the OM_SET method of my custom Window class, however I don't know what to do to dispose the object.

Quote:

IMHO the behaviour you have is correct (like caveman mentioned) - default = "no defined precision", and in the menu perhaps options to control the precision.

Again, a "Salomonic" solution to the issue. If I can manage both cases, why not letting the user decide?

thanks!
