For what I understand, patience is the key !

I hope the port will concern new 3.x version, and also maintained in the long term.

And what about usefull modules and libraries, like Pygame or Pyglet for example ?

Python3 on aros ?

Hi,

I'm finally learning programmation, and to be more specific, Python3.

I've got a (very) small Actionscript and javascript background, so I know basics, but I'm far from being able to code anything interesting for now.

My final goal (2020 ? ) is to create small games, apps, and maybe creative (instead of very technical) demos.

Since Python is a portable language, I'll be able to test and maintain my programs on Linux (my main system) and Morphos.

Will I be, in the future, be able to test, maintain (and maybe create) them on Aros too ?

It would be really cool, because I could use a laptop for it and go on parties with it, instead of linux.

thanks

I agree, milky is a great demo tool and a great chiptune dedicated tracker. But for now, not really useable under aros.

Hi,

Just almost coming back from tuff months, I don't have my native aros box anymore, but I still have my aspireone (for now under elementary os).

I'm still aros enthusiast, but I just cannot tell you what version I was using at this time.

I hope I'll be able to come back more regularly soon. Sorry to not being able to answer (same thing for the PM I recieved for the same subject).

Personaly these days I'm too busy, even if my job is finished ! lol

Concerning other hobbies (but as important as amiga hobby : retrogaming, modelling, home racing)

I've got my virtual pinball cabinet to finish
my slotcar racing tracks to finish (waiting since...2010 that I've got some spare time to finish them)
restore my arcade cabinet

Concerning amiga :
I've got pixel art and demo related stuff to do for my fresh new demo group

Reinstall my native aros desktop machine (to install and start learning portablE...I still didn't find time to buy some dvdr...)

Work my chiptune and tracker (lack of) skills for my projects

Concerning real life : enjoy my motorbike (same thing, I finished it last year, and almost didn't ride it)
go fishing
enjoy meeting my friends
work at home (finish the kitchen, fix the bathroom, add storage furnitures in room, install an new bathroom door, etc...)

I'm just like retired people...Too busy ! lol

Annotate has other problems I noticed here :

http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/vi ... t_id=71704#forumpost71704

Perhaps we'd contact the author once we'll figure out all problems, maybe he will fix them.

I also have a powermac machine, on demo version morphos 3.1. Maybe I'd buy a licence in the future, tomake things more comfortable with portabLE if I cannot do everything I want on aros side.

My beginning is a bit chaotic, but...I'm glad problems are not big deal for now. I always can use Editor (once correct settings, it's a decent text editor), and I just have to reinstall my system using the DVD icaros complete version.
