Amiga/Aros styles libraries are very different than windows and linux libs.

See documentation

http://aros.sourceforge.net/documenta ... ers/sys-dev/libraries.php

And if you used c++, there is not yet c++ support on our shared library system. I have been asking it as I'm not that good coder to implement it, but those who know how has little interest to do it.

How I replace forbid if I need to make sure my old code keeps running ok in smp world? Any basic example code where you have old forbid version and new mutex tms. code side by side?

Is there any compiler macros/if defs allready which makes forbid etc. as compiler error so we can find dangerous code faster?

As this thread derailed from the start let's change direction of this discussion to be more technical.

Kalamatee: what where the changes in exec tms. needed to get smp support that are visible to userland programs.

Is it the this->Task only. If yes, can vampire MMU trap access to it and with some routine to get right memory pointer? Any other userland visible changes that are not compatible current singlecore software?

BigGun: is there any OPCodes still needed for SMP? As I remember that 68k had TAS/CAS allready.

I checked Kalamatees linkedin profile, and I was suprised that he has not worked as programmer but ITC support. Why an earth that skilled guy is not doing what he does best?

If he is ready to travel, I could get him at least two job interviews in Finland. Another one is deeply embedded stuff where Kalamatee would shine.

Kalamatee, find cheap place to put your stuff. Then get some traveling support from https://www.gov.uk/claim-benefits-abroad/jobseekers-allowance . I know that you got already job offer in Germany, with that money you can go there. Also my employer is seeking skilled Java or C# coder in Finland. If interested, pm me. We also have office in Netherlands so after sort while, moving to there could be possibility.
