Which version of TheBar did you install? Where did you get it?

This thread might be of interest.

Yes, we're aware of the problem. For now go to http://aros.sourceforge.net

Just a thought: can your TV do the scaling for you?

There's something wrong there because the current address is all zeroes and "last start" is blank. If you run "devlist", is rhine.device shown with at least one opener?

You could also try running Sanautil with CONFIG instead of STATUS to see what it says.

Thanks for the info. The devices with an IRQ of 0 or 255 are potentially troublesome. Are you booting from SATA or PATA?

Could you check if any packets have been sent or received after startnet? Run this command:

Extras:networking/utilities/sanautil/sanautil DEVICE rhine.device STATUS

(That's the command path for a nightly, it might be somewhere else on a distro, e.g. SYS:System/Network/AROSTCP/C/Sanautil)

Can you tell from PCITool what devices don't have interrupts assigned? It might be related to the problem.

Urgh! What does "SB Live! cards are not supported anymore" mean? Shouldn't regressions be reported and corrected?

When did EMU10K1 support break? Is there the chance to work around this by using a older driver? Is driver for EMU10K1 working at least in Icaros 2.1.3?

Thanks for reporting

SB Live cards are working just fine in most cases, as AROS-Confidence1 pointed out. They still work for me too (latest ABIv0 nightly and Icaros 2.2 Xmas (pre-release?))

I'm going to test with ABIv1 as soon as it finishes installing to my USB stick (it seems to be taking a lot longer than usual).

I tested with the same build on a machine with the exact same PCI ID for the NIC, but I couldn't reproduce your problem.

One possibility is that another device that uses the same IRQ has a buggy driver that doesn't share IRQs well (or even rhine.device itself could have an IRQ problem). Can you disable as many other drivers as possible and retest? E.g. sound, USB, ATA etc.

Also, I tested without any Ethernet cable plugged in, so please do the same.

Who is this mysterious Ross, and why is it harder for him to contribute to AROS than it is for anyone else?
