That is what I wrote...

it was the final point, he already lost most of his motivation before and then the discussion was the final coffin nail

Other than that his reaction would not have been explainable... he even asked to be deleted in this forum. For me that is child level to be honest, but I do not know the personal situation of him, perhaps he has private problems, obviously he always was short of money and that can drag down emotionally of course.

He leaves because of one or two people talking him down?

That looks to me like a lame excuse. I assume he was unhappy already because people did pay him the hardware he requested and thought he would deserve. Pascal offered him hardware for free (i7) but it seems it was not good enough to him. Then the famous discussion started and escalated. Then he suddenly dropped everything and left from one moment to another. That looks like he wanted to go anyway, was no longer motivated and used only the chance to go.

68k software always was heavily optimized, expecially most software included assembler for time critical tasks. It was mostly not designed to be portable. Also the developer of XiPaint is still there (not active on amiga though) so I am 100% certain that there are no source codes in the package, also XiPaint is not open source

first...

ArosPDF does not work for me
AmiPDF worked but did not show much anymore

Second

Polybios is based on a modern implementation. I tested it (on windows) with modern PDFs and they showed perfectly. It looks like that is also the case for 68k now. Of course I can also compile it for i386 then.

Sorry I took off the website because of EU privacy law. I simply do not have much time for hobby right now

I recently even have updated it but not uploaded new version because I want to use the new hollywood pdf plugin to develope a more modern pdf viewer than amipdf is but I did not have much time for it last months. Perhaps in august when there are holidays here.
