the problem is that noone will invest money in such a small platform. Even Linux is not supported by everyone

Offer from Pascal (in the other thread from december)

Intel® Core™ i7-8700K
16GB DDR4
2TB HDD
Geforce 1070 (because I think it is more realistically user oriented than a 1080TI : ) )
Sharkoon AM5 Silent Red

Price 0€
No OS

Not a bad offer... it seems not successful finally

Might not be perfect but better than no hardware I would have said

I myself do not use (or need) hardware in my job as expensive as Kalamatee asked, he says he needs it but I was sceptical that there would be enough contributors for that amount of money. Perhaps Kalamatee already was disappointed that people were not willing to give him the hardware he asked for, then perhaps the senseless discussions were the final point for him to drop Aros.

+1

cdimauro: I do not understand your motivation

You did not contribute to aros

You did not give any money for bounties as far as I know

Why starting this senseless debates... Kalamatee contributed a lot to Aros in recent years. If you successfully scared him away gratulation

Good job (/sarcasm)

I just read the full thread (more or less), propably cdimauro did not improve the situation but he was not the only one

What I really do not understand, Pascal offered i7 hardware for free months ago, even if it is not the perfect hardware, to me have a good hardware is better than nothing. Saying either I get what I want or I leave is a little stubborn too. Also Kalamatee all the time mentioning that money from Aros is not enough for him and his three children... of course and it will never be. Aros can only be a hobby, if you need money for living you have to do something else and only contribute in your spare time.

I think the problems are some of the MorphOS OS developers who think MUI is integrated component of the OS and reject any working toegether with developers outside. You can of course always ask but I doubt they will agree. Stefan never was the problem there, he has dropped MorphOS development a long time ago (if I understand it right) but he will not force anything against the MorphOS team.

New AmiSSL is a shared library so it would not needed to be recompiled but there are only 3.x and 4.X versions up to now

thanks for information

so yes as I experienced with the 68k branch
distribution maintainers must select the "right nightly" where the software works (without recompilation)

I do not see a big problem there and would recommend the others to concentrate on ABI 1 in future

64bit would be another beast. It certainly needs more efforts than just recompiling so staying on 32bit makes most sense for now
