Yes, AROS port confirmed. But we need more backers!

Thanks, it worked beautifully!

Can I format one of the drives as FAT32?

I was simply unable to get HDToolbox to do anything.

I want to split my Work drive (120 GB) into 2 drives of 80 and 40 GB. I tried HDToolbox but I couldn't get it to work. Probably mostly because I don't know much about such things.

Can someone help?

Well, yes. I agree that Classic and all NG systems should be supported. And yes, people who are _not_ interested at supporting the Amiga scene will pay nothing. But these people would pay nothing for a Windows version of Final Writer as well. So it makes very little sense asking them. You might as well ask a collector of dolls how much they are prepared to pay for an Amiga system (the answer there is most probably zero).

But we are asking people who want to support the Amiga scene, even if they easily can get a much better word processor for free, if they just use another OS.

But true, rule of thumb is that the cheaper, the more people are likely to pay. That said, having 3 people paying 10 € might be worse off than having one person paying 50 € if money is a big factor.

People? You mean like me who just told him how much I'm prepared to spend? No offence, but don't confuse what you are prepared to pay with what I'm prepared to pay. People in Amigaland in general are prepared nowadays to pay for stuff because we crave it.

I agree Libre Office would be nicer. But we have been begging for it for years and it doesn't seem to be an easy program to port. If it was, it would have been done by now or someone would at least offer to do it for a bounty.

Final Writer is here, Terminilis is prepared to develop for it and it should be fairly simple to port to NG Amiga systems (unless it's written in Assembler or another wierd language). So from that point of view Libre Office seems to be out of reach and Final Writer on the way. So I rather pay for something than not pay for nothing.

I would pay for a native copy for MorphOS and AROS. But it needs to be able to (at least in the not too distant future) load and save .doc, .docx and .odt. Plus it has to be able to save in pdf.

Besides that, I guess most other useful features are already there since the core need of a word processor has not changed much in 15+ years.

I will pay 20 euro for a version that only works with Amiganoid systems. I will pay 40 euro for one that can read and write the above formats and 50 euro for one that can save pdf.

I will pay half of the above for a full-release-that-is-really-a-beta-and-riddle-with-bugs-and-crashes-a-lot-in-mid-sentence.

I would LOVE Amithlon on the Raspberry Pi 2. With either AROS Vision or WB 3.1
