The 2.5wip for Amiga OS3/AfA seemed to work under emulation (FS-UAE) except when using jit then the Gradation/Cycle menu immediately fades to black causing every menu to fade to black and apparently the Amiga OS4 has the same problem, only on the contrary, the screen becomes all white.
Info can be found

Source code for version 2.5

Also active discussion on

Hope this helps.

There is now an official 2.5 version of GrafX2 (tagged sources) by PulkoMandy and he asks that what is needed now is for everyone to update their port to the latest version and get the binaries uploaded to the download page, perhaps some creative fellow can compile the latest for Aros?
Including DawnBringer’s new 1.4 version of GrafX2 ToolBox?

Wow, new interest in Xamos!
That's Great News.

I have had fun dabbling with it.

Your lexical and syntactical analyzer for it sounds useful (which I hope you will release to the public), as would the implementation of "FOR TO STEP NEXT" & any other improvements.

Xamos & Amos seems like such natural part of any "Amiga-Like" environment I hope you can continue development beyond alpha 0.29

As for your technical questions, perhaps asking on
http://www.ultimateamiga.co.uk/
can help.

MyPaint or Krita or some other open source paint program, after all isn't creativity what the Amiga was all about?

I think the author lost interest in
it because of lack of response

Oh, I was interested.

Is there a way to rekindle development?

Contact the author?

Thank him?

Hi,
I have the same problem as "serk118uk" after installing AntiryadGX for AROSx86, load sequesters in AntiryadGX cut off the first character of the displayed directories.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hi again,
Seem to have got it working by re-installing gcc/g++ by coping it from the Aros Aspire install because the gcc-4.2.2.i386-aros.zip I downloaded from Aros Arhives didn't seem to work.
I realize it's probably a bad idea to mix different versions but this seems to be working so I guess I'll leave it alone for the moment.

GCC --version, says 4.2.4
G++ --version, says 4.2.4

When PEGCC Hello.e is run, it creates a temporary Hello.cpp which disappears as an executable is created (this I gather is what is supposed to happen),

saying "Successfully compiled program",

err, which just flashs on the sceen and vanishes...

Is that what the "Hello" example is supposed to do?

Other examples such as "ShootEmUp.e", "Shadow of the blitz" create an executable and seem to run fine along with sound.

So now I'm looking at how they work.

Also ToySketch.e works nicely...

You mention...

To be able to save the picture (I need to add a feature to the cGfx module to allow this - if you really want this then let me know & it might make it into the next Preview release

I think this would be a very useful feature.

Thanks for all the help and a great program.
