So that'd be safe to use with memory allocated with AllocMem?

No. Don't mix C and Exec memory functions.

Thanks, but money would set me under pressure. I hope I can find some time and motivation in the near future.

Here are our autodocs (documentation which is created from AROS' source code):
http://www.aros.org/documentation/developers/autodocs/index.php

Our usage documentation is weak, so you should search for the Amiga Reference ROM Kernal Manuals (which you can find in the internet).

Error is coming from this line:

https://trac.aros.org/trac/browser/ARO ... nd/findgroup_class.c#L128

When doing content search Find loads the whole file into one memory block, so if the file is larger than the remaining memory it displays the error. What I can do is to change the content search such that is loads several blocks.

Find is very useful here, but buggy yes. I have to keep clicking to cancel many error requesters.

Also the progress bar does not seem to work. (Or a busy spinner would be nice.)

I'm the author of the Find utility. What error messages do you get?

I can reproduce the crash. It happens when I enable JIT. Try to remove the line
jit_compiler = 1

1st)
ExecuteStartup executes all programs in sys:WBStartup. Do you still get the error if you remove all programs from that drawer?

2nd)
That's probably the same error I got when I tried to install AROS under FS-UAE. After some fiddling with the settings it worked. Maybe it was just increasing the RAM.
