An absolute gent from Ireland chats with us about his time from PET to Amiga and the creation of SnoopDOS. Some interesting shownotes also at http://amigausers.ie/episode-5-1-eddy-carroll-author-of-snoopdos/

Thanks origami. It's trivial to try again, so why not :) In case the same thing happens, is there a better way I can monitor/debug to give more helpful feedback here?

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit:
Linux S1535 4.8.0-58-generic #63~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 26 18:08:51 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

hbadd doesn't seem to exist either. It's not available via the file manager (as described in the manual) and running from the terminal gives the error:

hbadd: object not found

Does this sound like a borked installation?

I just minimised the window and the desktop was behind it :) It's very unstable. OWB crashes, jpg images don't display correctly (only first few rows of pixels).

But host filesystem access works well as does the link with the host network interface. mp4 video playback works too. Very impressive!

After runing the hosted linux install script and running ./icaros I get a fair bit of the way into the installation process (keyboard selection, screen, audio etc) but the installer has hung here (see attached image).

The terminal that launched the process has the below output. Any feedback appreciated!

Thanks guys - I was looking at the compressed size of the download :0 Thought it was < 1GB.

Problem solved and now on to other issues like how to exit 68k apps, connect to gmail via IMAP...

Attachments don't seem to be working. ZUnZip reports: "Error in writing extracted file"

I've installed Icaros successfully under VirtualBox on one computer, however on another (Ubuntu Host) it fails every time. I'm using a 2GB virtual hard disk but can't find any system requirements stating whether that's enough or not.

I've attached the problem that occurs late in the installation. Any help appreciated!
