Etcher seems to do nothing more than the dd command:
"Etcher copies images to drives byte by byte, without doing any transformation to the final device"

There are some tools, that turn a CD-ISO into an image ... but they will probably not work, because they create the wrong filesystem on the stick...

In any case, you would just end up with a install-usb-stick and not proper installation of AROS on the stick, which is probably what you want (or what would make most sense).

So firing up a VM passing the cd-image and the empty usb-stick to it and install AROS this way seems the best choice...

But thanks anyway for pointing out Etcher - it might be easier to use than dd for sd-cards and such...

It all started with Aaron Digulla in 1995 - but he is no longer active.

Who is arguing?

Again: AROS is free open source software!
(Everybody is allowed to copy it - nobody can determine a fixed price - ok?)

"It is time for you to hit the change, to stable"

So do it! Make it stable! Can you? No?
What do you think the developers are trying to do since 20 years??

If you want it done faster, you have to do it yourself or bring us more developers!

Hello, what do you think, finish the operating system and sell it for 30 euros or dollars?
With its cover and manual to download?

Not clear what you are trying to say?

Finishing? How? It is a operating system - they are never finished.
AROS is improving since 20 years now - slowly and not really steady, but it is still getting better and better.

You can sell it any time, if you want. For 30€ or even 100€. You just have to find someone willing to pay that money for open source software.
AROS is open source and must stay open. Everybody can copy or sell it.

please don't use this particle system from vincentgarreau.com/particles.js
It wastes CPU power like nothing else.

The AROS Funds doesn't work and is useless that's why the Community stopped Donating there!

Maybe they stoped - I did not observe the status there and it is not clear how recent the donations are...

However: the money is sitting there and should be put to good use. Better sooner than later. The top three donors contributed more than 50%
Vidar Hokstad
Johannes Genberg
Johan Svensson

Let these three decide.

(It would even be enough to just take the money these three donated, without touching the money all others contributed to the funds.
Does anyone know how to contact them? Is Bill Buck still managing things?)

Things like SGX, which make it easy to spot erroneous code.

Since RyZen AMD has SME und SVE, which should provide similar functionality.
Just saying this to make clear, that AMDs newest line of CPUs has closed the gap to Intel...

But since you are used to Intels extensions and that is your workflow: Intel it is!

From power2people:
AROS Development Fund: $2952.16

"The allocation of the money will be decided by a group of AROS community representatives."

Who?

I would suggest a new AMD Threadripper or EPYC instead - it it would be my new machine.
But that should be up entirely to Kalamatee - he knows best.

I am willing to donate a few bucks for this goal, if this is the way. Or should we just go via patreon? Or/and use some of the fund-money (but I have no say in this...)
