i am using native nvidia card but problem is present in vesa mode.

Click to see original Image in a new window

I don't need integration mode, i just want to run emulation.

So did this setup (by which I mean your Janus configuration and however you have the 68k side set) work in the previous version of Icaros? Is this an issue with booting a Workbench or does it also occur with say an adf of a game?

Cheers,
Nigel.

I didn't tested it with ADF game. It was tested after importing Amiga Forever 2016. Problem occurs when trying to setup screenmode for Workbench or Aros 68k and when i try to run Janus UAE with my custom configuration. After work I will try to run with ADF game.

Same problem was present from ICAROS 2.2 XMAS PREVIEW and persist to latest version. Every installation was clean over empty hdd.

The 68k configuration from the AmigaForever distribution may need some tweaking to work with Janus. Have you tried starting in windows mode rather than full screen to see if it can at least get the 68k system booted? Another thing to try is to start up Janus without any drives selected to check the emulation shows the 'insert boot disk' animation - that would confirm Janus is working.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Still grey screen/window (no disk animation) with simple configuration (kick3.1/020/aga) first test without any disk, second with adf game inserted in df0.

--edit

Strange, after sending break signal from scout to janus-uae task grey screen changed to black and 3 seconds later animation with floppy disk showed up.

After many tries and re installations i found out cause of this strange problem. I didn't change any settings in AHI prefs. After setting correct mode for music and other units Janus-UAE starts every single time.

That's a useful tip to remember (who'd have though an incorrectly configured AHI could bork Janus?) Thanks for letting us know.

Cheers,
Nigel.

FYI, I had a similar report on Facebook page, and it's been resolved by selecting a different AmiBridge profile (look at the manual) and then revert to the old one.
