New system build PCI cards failing

Hi All

This is aimed at developers and IS NOT FOR SHARING

Video removed

Basically as part of my build an aros machine from scrap series, part three is building with new hardware. So I purchased a modern ATX board with PCI slots expecting they would make up for the lack of driver but sadly not

This is running latest ICAROS

Any suggestions or solutions and I am all ears.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I took a look at your video. The BIOS might not be assigning IRQs to the PCI cards properly, or our relatively new ACPI support could be responsible. I notice that the SB Live gameport device had no IRQ assigned: I can't remember if that's normal, but it probably isn't. You could try using the noacpi boot option. Alternatively, some people have reported a regression in SB Live support: does that card work in other boxes with the same AROS version?

It would be useful if you can look at the other devices in PCITool without it crashing and check if they have IRQs. BTW, when PCITool crashes, you can usually start a second copy of it. Also see if you can get the "Save complete PCI information" button to work and post the output here.

All working now, had to turn off TLSF as it was causing AHI driver to corrupt. Turned off ACPI for errors but works fine once booted either way.

It turned out i was using a dodgy card. When i swapped it it worked. If i keep the tlsf active the pci card works fine still.
