im not sure if you see the difficulty to redistribute funds while donors would individually have to be convinced in order to maintain fairness.

I neither agree with these statements, nor would be comfortable with users taking it upon themselves to ‘collect’ money for developers.

AROS wouldn’t be in the state it currently is without them, nor would it have most of the drivers or features it presently does. Bounties don’t guarantee someone is going to be interested to do the work (or think the sums involved are enough), anymore than someone else collecting the money. That we lack developers to do work, or would be suitable to do certain bounties is a completely separate issue. It’s also inappropriate to try and decide for other people what the funds they contributed should be used for, regardless of how you feel.

This also isn’t the place to be discussing it - this thread is about the weekly status, please stop derailing threads.
