Jorge you are welcome : )
Money is not required.. time and enthusiasm is all we need.
money comes alone.

I have prepared a "draft" page under www.transcendence.cloud (I will rework the page by an professional)

The idea is to combine a Masternode based Blockchain with what we have done so far.

New compared to other "coin" projects is that we bring some working showcase and we will release (after the security work has been done) a wallet also for retro systems. Just a side node for making but I think it is cool if you can manage a Masternode from an 30years old computer : )

I will rebrand everything and merge it into transcendence.cloud .
When we reach a defined number of Maserndes (which basically means that the network is growing) we will release stuff to the community in open source form.

We will expand Amibian,js to cloud computer (switchable to Linux or Reactos look and feel, of course the Amiga look too)

The underlaying Token can be traded later on Exchanges. So the value may rise.
So we please cryptocoin enthusiast and need to define some bounties fitting to our AROS / Amiga-needs. : )

The website is just a draft.. LOGO challenge is running on www.designenlassen.de
After that I will let create a nice looking page.
Whatever ... the discord channel is open : )

The e.V I have in mind should focus on helping to solve the problem of old-age poverty using new technology based investments.

The idea is to take 10% of generated coins and use it for further development. So any bounty description which includes AROS is welcome. This is a common practice in the coin sphere

One idea is to provide AROS hosted images for virtually any computer preset with 1Click-solution to establish a Masternode. Circle closed..

There is no cake to be eaten or another finite resource that is 'lost' by people using a vaguely similar operating system instead.

To the contrary, the people who use MorphOS are seeking a user experience that is closer to AROS than it is to Linux, MacOS, or Windows, and who value this user experience more than trademark labels. Anybody who uses MorphOS today is more likely to switch to AROS in the future than somebody who gets involved with Linux or Haiku or another alternative operating system.

Any increase in user engagement with regard to either AROS or MorphOS should be celebrated rather than looked at with misgivings.

Before you all go on to become cryptocoin billionaires, how about figuring out what to do with the AROS Development Fund?

It has been asked a few times what needs have been identified that these funds should be allocated for. Sadly, there has not been much of a response.

Good point. Is it possible to contact all donors ?

A voting platform would be nice.

For AROS Fund it could be done that way:

Step 1: Discuss a proposal (to get feedback on the idea)
Step 2: send in proposal (could be an existing bounty)
Step 3: Voting-phase
-> as soon 51% say yes, the money can be moved. OR when money has to be collected, the idea gets accepted when the target sum has been reached.

1-3 could be doable using a simple doodle page.

I plan to fork pivx which has a voting system included in the wallet.

For the most part, at least.

Contact information does become outdated, and donors can drop off the face of the earth (either temporarily or - well - permanently).

Yep.. nobody can expect more than getting an info to the "only" known address.

With regard to voting, the AROS Development Fund page clearly states:

Quote:
The allocation of the money will be decided by a group of AROS community representatives.

So, it should not be necessary to contact every donor as the expectation has been all long that others would carefully evaluate and then decide what the entrusted funds should be used for. In fact, some contributors have specifically said that they liked the AROS Development Fund because it takes away the burden of trying to make informed choices regarding which effort is more deserving of a financial contribution.

So, again, what needs are there that could be helped with financial contributions ? If there are none, then there does not appear to be a need for alternative funding methods either.

Any existing bounty ?
The thing is that you need to talk to developers. Like a company fighting to get new employees.

Broadening the community may help to get such a passive system working.
You can have the best ideas but if you doen't reach someone it doesn't help.

So.. first step would be:
Convince a dev and discuss a number he "requires" to work on such a project.

Than move the money to this bounty as intended.

My idea is to define fixed bounties which are passively reached by just getting enough masternodes. It goes further to hire developers. As in having an contract.

... without a head, being it an e.V. or not, things go slow.

AROS has money but the AROS Money System doesn't work!

AROS Funds is useless and doesn't work!

We should rethink the System so that raised Money works!

Actually I am for a more Direct Donating System!

I donate to ncafferkey.. kalamatee and paolone and phoenixconsole directly!

I think Stephen Jones also knows how to deal with Money for AROS!
