I have mentioned in the original thread that I believe we should start a new bounty rather than adding money to this one. This is because we should encourage enhancement to the imminent, but probably one of the most important developments for Aros for some time. It was suggested I start a new thread so here we are.

Points to discuss:

1. Future wish list so we can hone it down to something doable in stage two.
2. Encouraging money to be put into this new bounty, which will be largely scoped out here, hopefully.
3. Create a pot of money to show other developers that we will support their efforts with further financial reward.

My Wish list, obviously I have not used it as yet but I have one major and very obvious wish.

Flash plugin.

This I believe will be the most useful add on. Enabling, YouTube, BBC Iplayer and a huge swather of web applications out there.

Over to you guys but I would like Stanislaw to join this to temper peoples wish list with common sense and if it is possible for stage two. I would also hope to launch this bounty on the 1st of March with a consensus on options,.

I will make my Document Management software work with v1 browser to create a Google Docs for Aros, I do not need flash for this. Or you could just use Google Docs haha.

Steve

Well, contact Adobe then.

Getting Flash with help from Adobe is as likely as me winning a millon on lottery.

But what about this
http://abalaban.free.fr/swfplayer.html

it's a start, isn't it ? Maybe someone here knows the coder and could speak to him ?

How is it accomplished on linux ?

I agree. But unfortunately, flash is closed source crap, and there are no real (good) free alternatives.

Have you seen it in action? It is impressive, it even crashes X11 on Linux...

I know Flash support is tricky, but I had hope for other wishes being added

it would be really cool if somehow the plug in system could be made compatible to existing systems (ideally firefox) - there are tons of cool plugins for other browsers... why start a new system... i mean, if this is technically achievable, of course.

edit: even if it is only doable via recompiling..
for example a bookmark synchronisation system.. or something like the "developer toolbar" for firefox! i love that...

I we are going to have a Flash plugin we will immediatly need an Ad Blocker!!

I would love to see Developer Toolbar too, as in firefox.

Somethings we will only know when we use OWB!!
