Tried with a nightly from two days ago and while OHCI now doesn't freeze, they do not detect anything...

reading here http://www.linux-usb.org/FAQ.html#gs5

Q: My Athlon system, with AMD-756, doesn't like low speed devices.

A: Athlon systems using some early versions of the AMD-756 chip (up to sometime before May 2000) have a USB bug. It affects handling of low speed devices (such as some mice and keyboards) when they're connected to the root hub. Recent 2.4.x kernels (such as 2.4.5) have AMD's workaround; upgrade your kernel.

Any chance in looking into what workaround they implemented.

The Final Validation Week has closed.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the tests! Thanks to your tests we've been able to correct last major outstanding issue - freezes on some OHCI configurations.

Overall score is that Poseidon support 80% of configurations, favoring UHCI over OHCI. You will find details below.

The bounty requirements are considered reached. Power2People has been informed to transfer money to Chris. The last thing to do it to change license to APL. This will happen once Chris receives bounty money.

Final test results:

Succesful tests:

UHCI + EHCI - 13 (deadwood x 2, DizzyOfCRN, Manu x 2, clusteruk, demether, Paolo, JaCoP, ncafferkey, Yanosh, Heinz712, Kolla232)
OHCI + EHCI - 8 (Nikos x 2, Paolo, longskitszo, teminills, deadwood, mihcaels, paolo)
Unknown - 5 (FOL_PSPUAE, Bloodline x 3, Gleng)
UHCI - 1 (Alan_Fullarton)

Failed tests:

OHCI + EHCI:
mouse not detected - 1 (Heinz712)
1.1 devices not detected - 1 (mihcaels)
no devices detected - 3 (ncafferkey, MaaG^dA, jeffrey1138)
OHCI:
no devices detected - 2 (saimon69, Heinz712)

Known issues:
- an usb disk can be detected by Poseidon but filesystem is not detected (AROS fat.handler problem)
- plugining in the same disks multiplies disk icons (AROS problem)
- slow transfer speeds for fat formatted disks (AROS fat.handler problem)
- warm reset does not work (AROS PCI problem)
- with some OHCI+EHCI configurations pluging out keyboard causes freeze
