Oh boy.

In that case it's just me being impatient, as i thought for sure it was already the first of march :big oops:

Sorry for bothering you, as i really had intended to wait until the first with reporting anything (if required).

Another day then for the posts on your work

Hi Serk118uk,

Downloads working again

I know this is not a priority for you, but i just wanted to let you know i ran into a problem with ORA.

The debug.log shows me: "ERROR: Unable to open internal-global.ini"

I copied both .mix files from the ra95demo.zip archive into the bin/data directory of RedAlert.

I'm probably doing something wrong here, any idea ?

On another (editorial note) which version did you port ? is it freecnc or openRA ? (i got confused looking through the sources)

Ah, found them in the sources.

so that answered all my questions, including putting the mix files in the data/mix drawer

Thank you !

Just checked

Create another folder settings/ in data folder and copy mix files and .ini files there and settings should have another folder called ra/ and should have some ini files in there and other than that just run the game...

copy/move to data/ to bin/data/settings/

Thank you serk.

I figured it out indeed .

Shame that putting the files from the bin directory one drawer up, makes starting the game fail for me

Unfortunately i also run into the memory freed twice error when exiting the game (vesa). The debug log (which was turned off in inifile btw, but still insist on showing) shows massive amount of errors (ignoring the messages btw).

Game also runs in fullscreen-mode (was turned of in ini) as well, but luckiliy it played well The starting/welcome screen was in windowed mode though. Just rechecked, it seems to be a sporadic thing, now it runs in windowed mode perfectly (changed resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768).

Thanks for another one

red: added more info

Seems to work alright. The problem that i'm having with it, is that the program (& harmonyplayer too) always makes use of PROGDIR: and don't switch to normal names. While checking for some files, you can end up having the pathname: PROGDIR://dir/music/ or so.
