I have problem sending files from AROS.
I have tried with 2 progs. and the same problem. With simplemail I can send text mail but if I try to send file, it will not be sent. If I try dcc with wookie.. the files shows up with size and everything to remote computer, but when I try to download it says error. Can it be something wrong with arostcp when uploading files ?

Hi,
If the task is to get files to and from AROS I would use FTP. Have you tried Yet Another FTP Server? The one in archives is not updated, the one in vmwAROS works and the one at http://xelectrox.homeip.net/files/MSS.zip should work. AUTO detection of IP-adress does not work so you will have to set Address=AUTO in yafs.ini to whatever your IP address is. I also posted a preview of my SMTP (mail) server for AROS. You can't send mail from it yet but you can send mails to the server :) Another option is to use the HTTP server, which should be easier to configure. Simply change Address=AUTO to your IP address and run SnugAROS. I think the root directory is set to RAM: or something as default. However, this can easily be changed by the last AddVirtual in snug.ini. If you surf to your IP address from remote, you should be able to see the files in RAM:.

Are you using vmwaros? If not, I really recommend doing so. What kind of errror does YAFS and Snug give you?
I assume that the TCP/IP stack is up and running in AROS. If you are sure that your AROS box have the address 10.0.0.100, all that is required to get for example Snug running is setting Address=10.0.0.100 in snug.ini and then run SnugAROS. From there we can continue customizing the servers. I don't know the latest tools for TCP/IP config in AROS or if the configuration files for the TCP has changed since I last tried.

So YAFS and Snug are both saying: "Waiting for connections..."? If so surfing to the IP address and port number (10.0.0.100:80) in your web browser should generate a listing of files on your AROS system.
The FTP client can be set to use passive (PASV) or active (PORT) mode (usually with the option to fall back on one of the methods if the other one fails). Try connect to 10.0.0.100 and port 21 in the FTP client.
