ALB42: You are absolutly right. abi v.1 taken way to long. So long that almost all left. It is no way we can wait much longer for abi v.1
It just have to be reviewed again and finish what is considered to be absolutly necessary and move to that platform.

At the same time it is no problem to work, develop on the abi v.0 platform and do a recompile when the move to abi v.1 is ready. Should be quite simple.

@nikolaos:

For a compiler programmer which can NOT use the official includes, but have to implement it's own, it's not that easy.
No only a plain recompile.. but a long, boring, tedious work... I did this already some times... and still not finished.

Alb42: Ok. Thank you. Good to know. I though it was not that difficult. I'm not a coder as you might know.
Our main focus should be this. Get it ready and move to abi v.1
I'm testing abi v.1 these days and have very little problems with it. Seams stable at least from a users point of view.
Neil did some important fixes so it now boots on much more hardware and fixed, wi-fi, drivers etc.

I know, as you might know I started a ABIv1 distribution long time before

Still compiling and trying it sometimes (Kalamatee helped me a lot a while before how to compile) I submitted some bugs, still wait to be fixed and also still try my FPC stuff there.

ALB42: I see this is 64-bit. That version I have not tried that much. Sure is the future.

sabbate: That is in my opinion a wrong statement. Can you be little more specific?

I know some hardware can be a stability factor but with the right hardware latest build for abi v.0 is very stable. At least from the way I used it.
It is neither AROS fault if software is badly written, ported etc. etc. That has nothing to do with the OS itself.
