The damn thing lists the command line parameters if you start it from Wanderer

So you change the tooltype of the icon to iconx and set the params it needs or you have to add support for reading the icons tooltypes if it starts from wanderer ?

Oh, that sounds too sophisticated to me! I just added a check to skip parsing of the arguments if argc<1 I don't know why did it print the usage, though it might have to do something with the missing CLI structure. But in that case getopt_long() should return -1, shouldn't it?
Anyways I fixed this nonsense, and included a neat icon with the executable. Available via the same link in my sig :)

ps: Tooltypes? That's not a bad idea

Ah, man c'mon ;-p
IconX is the least you could learn how to use. Tis nothing more then using shortcuts in windblows (with a batchfile).

About the reading of the workbench-icon 'arguments', an example can f.e. be read here and the backgroundinfo on it can be read here

Nothing sophisticated about it

argc comes to mind ?

P.S. an i agree with previous posters: faster as a lightning bold and more determined then a terminator. Thank you for this port and keep up the good vibe \o/

A new version is waiting for approval on aros-archives. It fixes a couple of bugs, and introduces support for the Alien demo version of the game. It also no longer uses ENVARC:, but its own directory to avoid confusion.

Will try it out.

It was not really confusing. it seems it only generate the logfiles _after_ the point on which the startup of the game failed.

And that is a bit illogical for me.

I want to know why it goes wrong, _when_ it goes wrong. not after it has gone wrong, as the program is not able to produce an error anymore at that point

This behaviour seems very flacky at best. I wonder what the maintainers were thinking () when they implemented it this way .

Thank you for your efforts BSzili,

I'm preparing a new version of AvP which will have FMV and OGG music playback. Fortunately I've found open source libraries to decode Bink and Smacker, so I don't have to link the whole libavcodec.
