Because I think it's important, there's a strong chance I'll take up the first Zune fix bounty in the next few weeks. However, I'd really prefer if someone else could do it, as I'd have to delay driver projects etc. if I do it. Anyone?

still working on 8187L driver? Zune fix is more important!

Drivers are a very sensitive subject in AROSland, but I guess we already have enough hardware support for anyone really interested in using AROS. Zune shortcomings had been a problem too many 3rd-part applications developers had to complain about in the past (we have already lost support from WookieChat author, just to mention one, and I heard complaints also from "NoWinEd" Shinkuro and others, not counting Fab himself). If fixing Zune would be the cause for delaying other drivers, I guess everyone in the AROSland will agree it's a well-spent time for waiting.

You are choicen one for zune :) You skilled, you works with aros for long time already, and as for me you are one of the best to take it. I am sure after you will assign it, bounty will grow up by money a lot, as everyone trust you.

I can add Geit (the author of Grunch a very good package-manager that supports all platforms except Aros because of problems with MUI (Zune) )

Damn, I wish I wasn't such a weak AROS User and had e.g. more financial Power to support AROS and people like deadwood and ncafferkey.

Sorry that I am a weak user!

Sorry, the thread is getting a bit off topic and Im going to keep it steered in that direction, but....

Id actually been thinking about it since the paper cuts initiative began, but is it possible to do some sort of parallel to them, but Zune centric? Even if small fixes here and there arent really feasible in the same manner as the paper cuts are being done, what could people without the skills and/or knowledge to take up the Zune bounties do to help?
Maybe some sort of organised effort to highlight current bugs and/or missing features could be of help if/when someone decides to take up a Zune bounty?

Any thoughts and feedback would be more than welcome.

@fishy_fis

Good idea. kas1e offered to provide details of what needs to be fixed, but the more people contributing the better.

hi,

I just wanted to ask if you will take the Zune-Bounty?

I have created a thread regarding cross-platform office-port and a update of Zune will propably become important (and for OWB and other applications). Some only want to donate if they know that Zune will be updated. What do you think?
