I updated the port, it's available via the same link. I made a workaround to the "memory freed twice" problem. I simply commented out the code which frees the tabbed command list. This is probably the ugliest hack known to mankind, and will leak some memory, but hey! It said the memory has been already freed.

PS: this window resizing thingamabob is cool!

Just a heads up, the sources to Odamex have now been updated to support Wide Screen amongst other things.

Not that I'm demanding a port upgrade, but this would be another nice addition to the AROS port! ;)

This is mostly copy+paste work, so it won't take too long to get Odamex 0.6.2 to work.

edit: And it's done. I updated the archive on my site. There are two small new features. I included and icon, and the game can now access the clipboard, so you can copy a server address from http://odamex.net/servers.php and paste it directly into the console. The shortcut is CTRL+V and the middle mouse button.

I see they are working creating a new GUI for Odamex that supports multiple platforms...

I wonder if it would be of any use to AROS...?

Erm, new ? that thread you linked to is from 2007 :/

No, because the launcher is already there and it seems to be using wxwidgets that is not available for AROS.

Perhaps a link copy-paste error ?

I did not notice the thread was so old, I saw recent posts so I assumed they were working on a new GUI that was played well with alternative OS'

Now that I see that it uses wxwidgets, I presume that is not their goal at all as I am not aware of a Amiga based OS that has support for wxwidgets. I don't think Haiku has it yet either does it?

EDIT: Or at least I thought I saw recent posts on there...

...my eyes must be playing tricks on me. Doe!!

Never mind, sorry.

The thread is just stickied, so it appears on top.

I have no idea what _their_ goals would be. There already is a multiplatform launcher, so i presume they are done ?

wxwidgets you mean ?

i have no idea. , but according to this page no they don't -> it's a wip.

Yes, wxwidgets.

Last I recall, someone is working on wxwidget support for MorhphOS so there is still hope, in the mean time, I'll get by with command line. I'm just excited to even have Odamex at all on AROS! :)
