So, how do I get the game to start? :)

Is this still giving you issues ?

You open up a shell, goto the directory in which you extracted freeciv and you type "freeciv-sdl" and press enter.

depending on hat happens next, something might be wrong. so please share

regards,

p.s.: do not forget to read this post with install instructions from BSzili *very* carefully. (and apply them ofcourse )

I've missed that part. Stupid me.

Well, when I tried typing it in shell, it started for a microsecond and then it exited. I guess I need to try that tcp thing to get it to work :)

Edit: Got it to work. Sorta :p I think this game has some more work before it before it's finished.

But, BZsili, NICE WORK! :D

fsckit: Since the public SDL API doesn't expose any functions to query the window size including the border and the title bar, I suppose this is an another bug in a rarely used SDL function (eg. it queries the wrong fields of the Window struct).

Not a big job to fix SDL to look at the field is it?
