I tried it with a real game too, and it works okay. Of course it's plagued by the usual path issues, it saves a couple of stuff in the parent directory. Stay tuned for more!

I'm progressing darn well, so you can expect a working test-release soon

Here we go!

It's a command-line emulator, you have to give a ROM name as the argument, see --help for more info. You can find the default keyboard layout here: http://code.google.com/p/mupen64plus/wiki/KeyboardSetup

That does sound complicated ... to me at least.

What? Typing "mupen64plus [romname]" into the shell?

@Yasu
With the text editor create a script with the game of choice, the combination of a beautiful Icon project with the command IconX, and here you have your game ready with one click.

------------------------------------------------------------

Con l'Editor di testo crei uno script con il gioco preferito, gli associ una bella Icona progetto con il comando IconX, ed ecco che hai il tuo gioco pronto con un click.

Great! Mupen! Hope it works good!

"I AM TUROK!" Great games... 4player matches in 007 Golden Eye on my commodore monitor were very funny!

@BSZili

I'm more of a icon-clicking kind of guy :) I have been using Windows for so long that most of my Amiga skills have vanished. I'm trying to learn it all again, but since I'm up against very skilled users it's usually not that easy understanding what people mean. Things that are natural for Amiga users are sometimes rocket science for people that come over from other platforms.

Well, I don't give up easily either :)

What does this ROM thing do?

I see where are you coming from, but clicking the shell icon, and typing two words isn't exactly what I'd call complicated. You don't have to mess with anything, the emulator works well with the default settings.
ROM's hold the game code and assets.

Oh Ok. It just sounded complicated then :) My bad.

I didn't use shell much even back in the Amiga days. Usually because I kept writing the wrong commands for all those "self-explanatory" programs out there. So I took a liking to scripts and icons, since you only need to write stuff once, if ever.

And this is the main reason why I never took a liking to Linux as well :)
