i have compiled some examples, compilation is fast and it works :)

@OlafS3:

nice yes, the m68k version took a big step forward in speed and stability. Thanks to Charlie.

About the Wiki... hmm which Page? I guess I did not write it. It's a Wiki, so just make an Account (and wait for clearance) and add it yourself?

Introduction to AROS

Seems that i read AROS vision there, including link to your website ?

If not ok or more information required then please feel free to add/advertise. You are also allowed to instruct but then there is no time-frame when it will be added.

Also for the other platform, the executable sizes are smaller now.

(AROS also)

interesting blog

Amiga LCL goes official 2

One question... what does that mean? I can use Lazarus on Windows (or whatever) for development and crosscompile for 68k Amiga and Aros?

If yes is there a description how to setup such a environment?

What it reads

I've been doing that for a couple of years now.

The only difference is that now ALB42's changes are part of official lazarus trunk.

Just as ALB42's changes that added AROS support (and 68k, Morphos, AmigaOS4 with help from Chain-Q and some other unmentioned entities) were added to Free Pascal trunk.

So, that means that ALB42's changes from his github account where official accepted (even though for newest lazarus he had to start over again because of the many changes inside official trunk).

I am not aware of detailed descriptions (other then what was written on Free Pascal wiki and FPC4Amiga wiki).

In theory:
- setup/download Free Pascal 3.0 (soon that will have to be v3.02). See also Free pascal wiki, host windows
- setup, compile and install Free Pascal from trunk (see free pascal wiki)
- install Aros binutils for Windows (in case host is windows). More information available here, paragraph binutils.
- setup and compile Lazarus from trunk. see also Free Pascal/Lazarus wiki, windows as host. Make sure you use the trunk FPC compiler to compile things.
- Configure your Lazarus and Free Pascal correctly
- Start building your applications
- In case wanting to target AROS, change the target platform to AROS and widgetset to MUI
- Compile your application
- Copy over the AROS executable
- enjoy the show

Please feel free to let know what requires more detailed description and/or what is unclear from the mentioned wiki's.

I'm currently completely out of time, but i will address things (in case you encounter issues) as soon as time permits.

@OlafS3:

yes/no

yes it makes it easier to make a lazarus which can also compile Amiga-style systems,

but no, thats not all, you still need the crosscompilers and assembler and linker for your target platform. (but this become easier now I hope, with vlink/vasm)
Did you check https://blog.alb42.de/virtual-lazarus/ it's exactly that?

@origami:
hey nice to see you are still there.... long quiet period, I guess you are very busy atm. take care!
