Dizzy: Holly shit!! Does this mean we can use USB-audio DACs with AROS ?

I don't know... There's still lot of things just plain wrong in the code. I would not keep my hopes up that the isoc transfers would just work...

Just tried out the bulk transfer without any debugs and it seems really sluggish... :(

EDIT:

That was with sd-card reader. With USB3.0 flash drive copying file to ram is 25.8 MBytes/s (using of course USB2.0 transfers)

But I'm not sure that the reported speed is correct on Wanderer...

EDIT: Slowness might very possibly be caused because I allocate the transfer structure per transfer... stupid me...

@DizzyOfCRN

Cool, great work!

@nikolaos

You're not mixing up asynchronous and isochronous by any chance?

The driver claims to do isochronous and it actually fires up (hopefully) such transactions. I just have not tested it in anyway and I haven't looked into it in any detail. I've just tossed the isochronous iorequest to libusb and let the Linux usb system handle all the details or not. I assume it will crash once usbaudio.class kicks in and tries to use it.

It's all commited(AbiV1), but it doesn't build by default for hosted (which is it's only target platform of course)

For mass storage you will need to build also partition.library, fat filesystem and expansion.library if I recall correctly. Then load the vusbhci device with Trident and save the prefs. Trident has to be started manually everytime as there is no auto loading or starting the usb stack as in native.

Your Linux distribution may not allow user space programs to access usb devices so some udev rules are also needed or run Aros with super user privileges (not recommended)

I can save you the trouble as I found the PlayStation mic thingy.

I couldn't figure out what to do with it though...

Hi roMancer,
I use the same Netgear adapter. As to the not applying settings problem, yes, I do get that - normally I expect to have to reboot after trying to change network settings.

For the unreliable connection issue, I do have a trick I've used for a while to help. In the wirelessmananager script I start the network, stop it and then restart again:

Run NIL: sys:system/network/arostcp/c/AROSTCP

wait 2 secs

WaitForPort AROSTCP

If NOT Warn

; echo "Stack online"

; stop and restart
execute "sys:system/network/AROSTCP/s/stopnet"

Else

echo "Wait for Stack Failed"
exit

EndIf

Run NIL: sys:system/network/arostcp/c/AROSTCP
WaitForPort AROSTCP

If NOT Warn

; echo "Stack online"

Else

echo "Wait for Stack Failed"

EndIf

run NIL: c:wirelessmanager realtek8180.device

I don't start the network using the option in prefs; instead, I run the above script at the end of the startup-sequence:

sys:system/network/arostcp/s/wstartnet >nil:

The script works perfectly with mine USB Wifi Sticks WG111v3, but today without changing anything on the system I have this request? how to turn it off?

@amiga

Does that now happen every time? Or just once?
