Problem with the Parallella boards is that each of the epiphany cores is quite weak. To support such an exotic architecture when the performance isn't there yet and when most applications wouldn't really be able to leverage it's architecture would be a wasted effort.

Maintaining the ARM port, where many cheap quad- and octa-cores are available is a better course of action I believe.
