Thank you for having brought this discussion to our attention amiga.

Some thoughts:
1. AROS 68k is ABI-v1
2. AROS is not developed natively, but cross-platform.
3. The 'location' of AROS' svn server has a reason. Please contact AROS developers ML for details.
4. Read this. There is a reason for that. Details can be requested on the AROS developers ML.

Thank you wawa.

Yes, i noticed that you as well as well as Kalamatee/Toni and others are correcting things there. At first, it didn't looked as if things got the attention that was required.

I just find it a bit peculiar that such discussion is not started/held here (the root of all evil )

eab has more amiga folks, and the issue here is aros as potential replacement for amiga system. in this respect it isnt wrong to discussit there i think. best case some competent internal agreements should be atempted, maybe here, maybe on devml.

The related discussion on eab is also very civil and constructive.

It'd be great if the 68K centric Amigans finally fully embrace AROS!

Thanks to the great AROS developers it seems not all that much work remains for it to be a fully usable 68K Amiga OS 3.1 replacement, with the huge added benefits of being open source and more feature rich already and able to evolve in the future.

There's something in that discussion making me not feeling very comfortable. It's like someone is trying to sell, at any cost, a solution that's already been considered and - for many valid reasons - refused.

Besides that, anyone remembers gitorious ?, and where is it now ? oh, look here.

The beauty of GitHub is that even the utter n00b can do what was/is asked for.

I don't see how anything would justify giving up existing infrastructure, as there were (and are) valid reasons for that.

Indeed, asked and answered many times before.

My tin foil hat would be very suspicious of an ulterior motive.

It's almost as if he wanted to force GitHub down the throats of AROS developers at all cost.
