Thank you for taking the time ncafferkey, also cavemann for the feedback.

It seems strange (on my end). I waited until i was sure i could mention it as none of the different browsers i've got installed on this android device (fwiw: most mentionable: stock, chrome, fennec, firefox, opera) seem to cooperate with www.aros.org. That is, they started to work almost directly after your post ncafferkey (i was just in the process of bookmarking the sourceforge url).

Perhaps sourceforge or the cache was testing my nerves. sorry for the noise.

fwiw: omitting the www part still is problematic but that i can understand and was/is an issue on my windows/linux machines as well (but is problematic for a much longer period)

The commits part is not working anymore I guess.

Would be very nice if that could be fixed. Nice way to follow progress.

Most browsers seem to implement tricks to find addresses that don't exist, like adding "www." in the hope that the result does exist. As nothing appears to happen for aros.org, it would seem that we're not properly indicating that the page in question doesn't exist.

Weird: From a foreign page Pale Moon will have no problem finding out that aros.org" is a synonym for "www.aros.org". But when already on the page, there appears to be some time-out (A minute?) before it gets there. Are we doing some referer check that gets messed up by the two ways to address the page?

The ‘commits’ section does work, except with certain (particularly mobile) browsers - as has been mentioned on here and the mailing list.

As for www. - aros.org does correctly use and provide the www host record under its domain, and there is no issue accessing it that way. Aros-exec doesn’t use any host part under the domain (not exactly best practice), but that’s a separate issue and something that needs taken up with the owner of the domain, though it is nothing to do with aros or the aros devs.

Kalamatee: What you saying is that last commit is 28th april?
I tried several browsers and all say the same.
Following the week in aros there should be other commits after 28th.

I think there should be 1 or 2 more commits but that’s about all - I’m sure Neil will take a look once he gets a chance though
