SVN access -> account expired?

hi!

cannot log in to svn -
I successfully applied for an account, but that was years ago, now I cannot log in to https-server and cannot log in via svn (commandline).

tried:
https://trac.aros.org/trac/login (webbrowser)
https://svn.aros.org/svn/aros/ (webbrowser)
svn checkout https://svn.aros.org/svn/aros/trunk/AROS (cli)

do svn accounts expire?

if not, I may have forgotten my username/password - how do i recover it?

(i know that i could use guest/guest, but I want to use my account (if it still exists), which should allow me to contribute (write access))

In 2015 svn was moved to a new server. To quote a mail from Neil:

"The new repository is managed through trac, and as a first step in the changeover, existing developers will need to create accounts through the web interface at https://trac.aros.org (if you created an account on the previous trac deployment, that account may still be there, so you'll have an account already in that case).

You should use the same username as you currently use for SVN, but you may want to consider a new password (due to the accidental release of the hashed password file for a short time within the last few years)"

If this does still apply, I don't know.

how do i do that?
i see "login", and fields for user and password, "preferences", "help", ... but nothing that says "create account" or "register".

The login procedure on trac has vanished ages ago .

I could have sworn there was some text on trac describing the process, but i seem unable to locate it.

Luckily, it is written at aros.org here.

Please email your request to the Subversion administrator. Your mail should include your real name and preferred user name. An account will then be created with a temporary password. Once you receive notification of account creation, you can change your password through the trac interface.

please read that section at the aros.org page i linked to and locate the correct contact address.

Unfortunately the old hashed passwords weren't compatible with the new server, so new accounts had/have to be created. Also unfortunately, the web-based account creation process had to be disabled because there was a constant stream of spammers/bots trying to create accounts.
