hi all

some of you are using owb, because honestly it is becoming more and more unusable, google services can not be accessed, even facebook and I also noticed sourceforge, I hope you come back to work all regularly for the benefit of aros, that without a browser is a bit limited

thanks more

FaceBook works fine for me, but yes Google's various applications don't work now. No doubt they've been tweaking their code to make sure it just runs properly on Chrome...

Unfortunately, given that web browsers are so complex and Deadwood is no longer with us, I don't think we'll be seing any updates any time soon

Cheers,
Nigel.

Something I forgot to mention - FaceBook can be a bit awkward but if you try different 'spoofings' (e.g. iPad) you can persuade it to work.

Cheers,
Nigel.

I wait for it to be updated owb, I can not do anything else for the moment, I thought you could support the work of the programmer in order to always have updates, what do you think?

I'd happily support further development in monetary terms via a bounty or even a licence fee, but as I undertstand it there is currently no developer looking at OWB for AROS. However, over on AmigaWorld there is yet another of the periodic calls for cross-platfrom cooperation which has ended up focussing on OWB. If you think you'd support such a move you could put in a word here; it would be nice to have some positive comments amongst all the naysayers...

Cheers,
Nigel.

It's been a while since i tested some AROS distro but since right now am using a netbook with XP(my main laptop died last year and now am between jobs so cannot get a new one) and i find myself using K-meleon to save RAM, the most of the time i go through the workaround to use the very bare bones facebook interface at mbasic.facebook.com; it does lack most of the modern functionalities but you can still post and chat with people.

Then if the issue is instead tied to the SSL/https, have no answer nor i know if newer versions have been ported lately.

First it was OWB and after a much better more compatible version called Odyssey. Deadwood did all the work on the AROS version and he is gone. Don't wait for new version as noone is working on it.
