the package was lately, that means 10-15 years ago maintained by j strohmayer, at least for 68k and os4 ppc, the disksalv functionality were then introduced to os4 partitioning tool, the name of partition magic or something like that. disksalv itself made an impression of being buggy, and unfinished (same as sfs itself by the way) already what concerns the gui, though joerg was not intending to fix it any more, neither he seems to be particularly fond of releasing the sources to anyone.
the tool was not of much use to be honest.

i dont know in what state aros sfs is, and i dont want to distract anyone from any contribution, but wouldnt it be better to switch to pfs3 as default file system and improve that instead, especially that the sources are open, maintained by toni, aros associate, and that it has an apparently working repair tool.

It seems like I get sfs errors every time I use Aros, so I would like to try another file system. If there's ever a bountry for pfs3, I would be happy to contribute.

pfs3 is a part of aros sources. i dont think there is any necessity for as bounty. im using it all the time with aros68k on amigas, but i would have to check its status on i386 target, as im only testing it hosted on linux usually what concerns this particular platform.

Hi,

It would be great to know if it can be used or what would be required to have it as an option whilst installing?
