I am curious: What is the liklihood that the most recent Allegro 4 libs (4.4 and 5.x) could be compiled to run on AROS?

They're primarily used for Linux stuff, but there is some various in-built support for misc. OSes.

There was a port of Allegro 4.x for AmigaOS 4.x but I don't remember if the source was ever made available. Allegro 5.x doesn't work on any Amiga-like OS yet.

It is available, and there's also a MorphOS port which doesn't have the P96 dependency, that could be ported to AROS.
