AA1 HDD problem i386 abi v.1

I just replaced my zif drive in AA1.
Seams like "install AROS" does not detect it as I can not install AROS to it. I get "error 100" if I try but as default trying to wipe disk AROS set type as AHCI/SATA device: ahci.device and I see the drive in HD-toolbox as ata.device
Just for fun I installed Ubuntu to the drive without problems to be sure it was nothing wrong with the drive.

Here are some debug.

And it still doesn't work if you select ata.device to wipe?

Neil: Nope

What I did is I used HD-Toolbox and created everything from there.
After that install AROS started to be more happy.
I can still not wipe the drive from aros installer.
I get this requiester "ata.device, unit 0 and secondary slave to ata.device, unit 3 Error 100"
At least now I can install AROS after I created everything manualy.

That error seems strange. What unit number does HDToolBox show?

Neil: It did not show anything but after I changed to unit 2 the installer wiped the disk :)
It is good now.

Edit: problem I have now is that when I boot from internal drive all I see is Grub in the left corner. This happend to me before.
What I have to do is to boot from usb drive and take out the drive and AROS runs from internal drive.
ctrl+amiga+amiga does not work now in abi v.1 i386

Edit: Ok. Found problem. Since AROS does not detect the unit nr. of my drive it installs bootloader wrong or maybe not at all.
I ran aros installer again and only wanted to install the bootloader and AROS suggest unit 0 and the same problem. I ran install aros again to install only bootload and changed to unit 2 and whoila bootloader works :D

Great!

I investigated the soft reboot problem a week or two ago, but I don't have a fix yet.

Neil: Ok. Lets hope you get it working again. soft reboot is handy even if it might not be as clean as a full reboot.

To clear things up this is what happend.

Install AROS does not detect unit of the drive but with some testing I found out it was unit 2. After the disk is wiped the install AROS program is still in unit 0 so if not changed to unit 2 manualy the bootloader does not install but the other system files will.
I experienced this before and I know others had same problem. At least now we know how to solve it if someone have this problem. Normaly AROS detects the drive but what exactly give the drive the unit number? I only have one internal storage device in AA1. I understand if there are many HDD.
