LBreakout2 starts for me without showing this message. I'm running from CD using the 2018-04-12 nightly build.

There's probably something different in your environment, so please give details

What I'd like to know is the date of the nightly build you're using, and whether you're running from CD or from HD. Those can make a difference.

Requests for "etc:" are typically caused by programs ported from Linux looking for the Linux /etc directory. I've just noticed that there is an "ETC:" assign created when I boot from CD. I get that requester if I remove the assign.

Neil: I never run anything from CD ;)

It is installed on HDD on my AA1.

The original build I installed is just around 2 weeks old. I updated the kernel and other files in arch folder with the latest night build but that did not change anything.

I almost never use a CD either: it was a CD image in VBox

The problem will probably go away if you install dev tools. However, these games should run without having to install dev tools, so that's just a workaround.

The error is likely coming from sdl_mixer when it tries to open /etc/timidity.cfg. An assign let's the error disappear.

mazze: Long time ago I used assign.

I will assign etc: and add it to user-startup?

Could you fill inn the line for me. Do I need to
direct this to every program or game I get this message or could it be a global thing?

assign etc: ??

Mazze: Another strange thing is that when I open GraphX2 it get the message "No joystick in port 0" or something like that.

The game Pushover give me stack overflow. I increased the stack size in icon but did not help.

It should probably look in ENV: on AmigaOS like systems, for that file, (after PROGDIR:).
