you have to go into the bios and set the secure boot entry that is only for windows and this does not start other systems, I tried it successfully

Hi,

If it's only for Windows, why would you have to set it for AROS?

He means secure boot is only used by windows (which is near enough true), but it needs turned off for AROS

Please read again - no one said you can turn off UEFI, only secure boot, which is needed to boot AROS on UEFI machines.

But Microsoft apparently for their good for Windows certification no longer requires that Secure Boot can be switched off. So, it may be that some manufacturers decide that they can't be bothered to support anything but latest Windows and won't implement switching Secure Boot off.

Than there is not much that can be done, other than:
pay attention what hardware you are buying!

It’s possible, however I have yet to encounter a machine where that is the case.
