OS develpers are few right now but might change. Always been like that. Sometimes active other times stalled.
From what I know Neil and Wawa do some updates and are active. There are also devs. that never comment here but might work on things.
You can follow commits here.

http://www.aros.org/

What is happening in the background I don't know.
I know that Neil have a list of things he like to fix.

For apps, games we see updates and new stuff on a regular basis. Watch the archives. Most show up there.

All that said the OS with the right hardware running native is stable and good I must say.

If you or others have problems it is good to report and maybe it get fixed. I see very few reporting problems in general.

I have a feeling people don't have the right hardware or maybe lack the knowledge to install AROS.

Do you have any special thing in mind?

Ever since the SMP fiasco, I was wondering if the Developers are abandoning ship.

I hope someone is still working on things even if it is in the background.

As you all may know I am all over the place.
I have been buying as much as I can in the Amiga World.
It looks like MorphOS and Aros are fighting for first place and AmigaOS in third.

Edit:
I have more to buy and then take a break.
Hopefully qemu will deliver on performance.
I wish the X5000 had a lower cost uATX board with a socket.

Developers come and go.

Anyone who has followed AROS for a while knows how it goes.
There's absolutely no need to worry about these things.

Sure, it'd be nice to have more regular, staple developers, but it's just not the way things seem to work.

There's been plenty of times over the last 20 years or so that development drops to a crawl, with only a couple active devs, but then seemingly out of nowhere a handful of new, very active devs come along. At other times the slow paced development has continued for a while.

End of the day, you simply can't assume things are dwindling just because there's a relatively slow period. Its just not how things work.

what fiasco? the code is there and it works. that likely none is working on this currently (i dont know for sure) or that there is very little activity on aros in general is another matter. we have had an option to change it few weeks ago, but we choose not to.

I am talking about a developer leaving because of an argument in an Smp thread.
