I got it to work! I needed to select the correct "Device" in the IPv4 Config (first tab). I just assumed it knew what driver to use. Can't assume anything in AROS right?

I notice that a lot of stuff doesn't work though... like 90% of the games under the cat eye down there... none of the 68k games work. Is that normal? Am I missing something else? Maybe it needs the real rom files?

It feels like AROS is in the exact same state that I left it years ago. Has there been any work on this at all? I was hoping it would be more stable and more user friendly. What exactly has changed in the past 3 years? I don't mean to harp on it.. just thought there would be more by now.

I don't know about Icaros but for sure Paolo can not include commercial 68k games.
Unless you install AspireOS Paolo can answer you if he have time.

Ah.. scratch that. I can see now that it is simply not formatting the USB. It says it is.. but it obviously is not working correctly because it takes a blink of an eye and says Partition complete. Then when you go back and try to use that partition, it doesn't see it.

As far as I can see from your video, you're not following my instructions, which are clearly writen... guess where? On chapter 3 of the Icaros manual

You need to perform a minimal installation on the pendrive, whose name will become "AROS Live Drive". If the "make installation pendrive" script won't find any such-named volume mounted on the system, it will produce the error in your screenshot.

Please read the instructions and best of all... follow them!

Not so much changed in the last 3 years. Anyway, 68K games need proper integration as described in Icaros manual. 68K games included with Icaros are already configured and normally work when launched.

Yeah.. I realized my mistake when I went back through the 20-odd steps to get this working. I have it installed on the hard drive now but ever since I got the wireless working (chose the correct driver) it now crashes after about 20 seconds of use.

I've already put way too much time in this. It doesn't look like things are working very well even when they work so.... yeah.

After all the boring videos about setup it is time for some videos about the programs included in AspireOS and how to use them.

Here is a video of Zune View. That is the default image viewer in AspireOS where you can also edit and manipulate images.

Tommy: Your image is in the video :)

Yannick is the man behind this great native software. This program is only for AROS.
