The new HD installer is now included on the nightly ISO and is ready for testing. However, there's currently a bug in either Wanderer or FFS that needs to be worked around. After startng the installer, you need to quit Wanderer before continuing (unless you're not going to format any partitions).
Be even more careful than usual with this version of the installer, ie. don't expose a machine with unbacked-up valuable data to it. It should preserve all existing partitions if requested, but no one has tested this so far besides me.

Way too early to test this on anything you don't want to lose data on. I'll wait three or so weeks before I brave updating my AROS laptop... Dammy

Could someone provide a direct link for the ISO with the installer?
I'm trying to generate some interest for AROS on the irc.amigaworld.net network, but I want to be sure what to download before handing out links myself. On another topic, there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about AROS and what it can do among Amiga users. Perhaps an article can be written that presents aros as is and then post the article to some of the major amiga sites? Info about the bounty system, that it's an os on itself and doesn't require linux, that you can install it on a regular x86 PC, needs uae to run 68k applications, list some applications that you can use, that there is tcp/ip support, explain some of the main components like the wanderer and zune, what's needed for developing for AROS, future plans etc.

os4depot: This kind of article that you ask for has already been posted several times. All users who are interested in AROS can find out about it fairly quickly by typing "AROS operating system" in google. I doubt that any amiga user who would be interested in AROS does not know about it.
If would be far more interesting to see a bigger article in a larger mainstream publication. But right now I don't think AROS is in a state where it would be of high regard. Perhaps in a couple of months or another year.

os4depot - i even has translated an article like this.
http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=15819 - i think it not that bad. As for the link, just point them to our download section. After new builds coming the link will become incorrect.

@KeenEars
If I had the time I'd write a one page article aimed at amiga users, that would be easy to post as a news item or forum post, but unfortunately I don't have the time.
