If you use the same .pdf viewer included in Icaros (PoorPDF?), you can makes as well a def_PDF.info icon in ENVARC:sys

In this way you'll have all .pdf files already associated with the PoorPDF viewer or the viewer of your choice.

The easiest way check/edit this .info files at the moment is creating a "dummy" file with the same name (removing the .info extension) and then right-click > icon > info on the icon in ENVARC:sys , then delete the "dummy file" at the end.

See the image below, and and old post about default programs is here.

Cheers

I would rather use DOpus. Click on .def icon and click icon info. From there you can change path to program to be opened.

The problem with ArosPDF was fixed a while back but I haven't had any time to get to finishing some other changes I made in the program.

I am happy to give out the source to anyone interested in working on it.

I'll try to clean up the changes and anyway make a new release later this week.

For anyone interested in picking things up while I am busy I will offer the code and try to help you with configuring the build environment. I apologise in advance to anyone taking things on, there's a bit of spaghetti code in there :P

Things for me should probably settle down again in four or five months from now, but all help in the meantime is appreciated.

After tonights nightly build, this should no longer be necessary - i.e. Information should now work correctly with file-less icons.

Additionaly, when displaying information for a directory, you can click on the size field to calculate the contents size.

@Kalamatee

I see you are back in Wanderer business :D

Please, please fix the bug with drag&drop of icon on itself (which results in endless recurvive copy)

My skills are enough (well... I think) to be able to help/fix the argument handling problem, but I don't think they're enough to really "work" on arospdf. Or perhaps to make it an appwindow like More and MultiView? As always, I'd be very interested to look at its sources though. Wouldn't you consider to open-source it?

@Kalamatee: Wonderful!

Should be fixed now - let me know if it is working correctly.

Ive tried -:

# Dropping AROS: on AROS:
# Opening AROS: and dropping AROS:Prefs on itself (AROS:Prefs)
# Opening AROS: and dropping AROS:Prefs on AROS:
# Opening 2 windows for AROS: and dragging Prefs from one to the other.

All cases seem to be working as expected - though it is still possible to break it (I will look into a fix for this also).

ArosPDF is open sourced (GPLed) but I don't have anywhere to host it right now.
