When I try hiding my Windows using your average HideWindow(...) function, the window gets hidden, but at the position of the former window appears some kind of block. First you don't notice it, but if you want to move some other window to that place, where the other window was, it disappears BEHIND the block..
If I do a couple of HideWindow()s my screen gets stuffed up with these weird boxes... Has anybody seen this effect before, and knows how to avoid it, or is that some kind of Aros or Intuition bug/behaviour? thanks for reading, Mike

could you make a screenshot, to see if I can reproduce the bug, please ?
ps : photobucket or imageshack seems to not work, so you'll have to transfert the screenshot with a webmail (gmail for example) to an OS how can upload images.

Difficult right now for me, since my Aros machine is not connected to the net, nor can I get something out of it right at the moment (no USB yet, and fryingpan doesn't work somehow, dunno)...
I will have a compatible network card a few days later (hopefully), then I might post a few screenshots about my problem..

I just realized that your problem is a dev problem (with programming commands, etc...) oops...don't think I 'm the man to help you (I believed that you had a user problem, not a dev problem).
sorry !

Hidden windows don't work correctly because the corresponding layers library code in AROS is buggy.

Well, that explains that weird behaviour...

I just read in the fpgui blog from ALB42 that this bug is still present in ABI V0. Is it fixed in ABI V1 or is it just not assigned yet? I know there is an easy workaround but to fix this would be a good step forward for AROS imo. Unfortunately I am no developer but it would be helpful for future ports I think after reading the fpgui blog.
