I think this is a cool Tool! IcAros should be added to make it possible to create an IcAros USB Stick without the need to burn a CD!

Well it seems that UNetboot is just some "script" that copies files over to the usb stick and writes the bootloader. It would work if Aros could be booted from the fat but at the moment it is not the case.

it works..but don't start :(
at boot i have this grub: Deafault Icaros Desktop (without usb support) unfortunately, each options don't work. i have kernel corrupt error :( i have used icaros 1.2.2, that should have support for usb boot

It does not work as long as Aros can't be booted from a FAT filesystem. What would be needed is either move fat.handler to ROM or code some sort of program to RAW-write sectors to the stick or add SFS support for Linux or XP and then copy files over.

I think it should be doable to distribute an image of Icaros that could be put on to a USB stick with dd under Linux. Just use dd to copy the data off an existing Icaros stick. @Seiya_37 Are you talking about UNetbootin, or normal installation from an Icaros CD to a USB drive?

im not very familiar with the issue, but have fat handler in rom is quiet easy to acheive.

I had forgotten the dd all together!! (I was inventing the wheel again...) I agree, that if those sectors don't differ too much then it just might do it. Moving fat.handler to ROM is no problem technically, but we might come to all sort of trouble otherwise.
