Hi,
I got back into classic Amiga (A1200) a few months back and definatley like the retro scene which I am now committed to. I have also been looking for a replacement for Windows and got interested in FreeBSD which I am still trying out. However, having read some forum comments about AROS and after trying Icarus Desktop Live I thought great, I can use modern hardware with a large dose of that Amiga Magic that keeps the retro Amiga scene going. I then get the best of both worlds Classic Amiga and Modern Amiga. I was also looking for an AROS forum as I'm not a big fan of mailing lists which put me off AROS a bit. That is until I found mention of this forum in the user docs which tipped the balance from passing interest to an interest in contributing. Currently I am creating a Documentation Set and Resource Kit for AMOS-Pro/Deimos and porting AMOS to the Eclipse Development Framework (Project Deimos). The Deimos project is only a month old, but re-typesetting the AMOS documentation is going well. MadAngus
