It was developed using SAS/C and uses only system API calls. Porting should be a quite simple task.

That would be horrendously useful. Is it the one with different plug-ins to output in different languages?
Is someone porting it?

I think you're mixing it up with MuiBuilder. That's already available.

The .guide on github says:
Quote:

All source generators are designed as external plugins. You can add them simply by copying them to generators directory where you have installed your GadToolsBox v3. If you want to develop new source code generator please contact with me.

c.generator SAS/C source code generator

amigae.generator Amiga E source code generator

Source code generator for Amiga E is currently under development.

I've just had to google MUIBuilder.

Ok, it seems that GTB has that capability, too.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to prevent anyone from porting GTB. But some years ago there was a high demand to port MuiBuilder. I spent one month to port it to AROS and updated to 68k port, too. In the end, not a single application was created with MuiBuilder.

I believe I tried MuiBuilder, and found it difficult and confusing to use. Not a slam against you, Mazze, just an observation. :) Of course, I've also had trouble just trying to get MUI to build in general, leading me to try other (and experiment with my own) options.

This is an older topic, but I thought I might bring it up again.

While researching a way to include a GadTools Menu System in my Image Viewer I found GadToolsBox v3 that is now open source on Aminet and GitHub. I'd like to try it out on my Amiga 500 + Vampire accelerator to see what it can do.

From what I can see so far AROS needs GUI builders that can assist developers, new and old, to create new apps. MUI is great, but having a good variety of GUI building tools would be good for development. Do you agree?
