Yes, yet another one
![]() I've been silently working on this for a couple of weeks, it was my pet project to start off with the C language (as I'll be soon requested to do some programming at a lower level at work) and with ZUNE/MUI. As it turns out, I have a working "pocket" calculator for AROS. CONS - It's coded by an amateur with not a clear idea about Amiga programming and portability among Amiga-ish platforms. PROS - It looks to be the only working calulator available at the moment for AROS. Not to belittle other's people efforts, but in full honesty I couldn't find another piece of software that made me rethink about my time spent on this. This said, I perfectly know that no one is going to seriously use this calculator, IMO it's a kind of application that is slowing sinking into the past history, we all have electronic equipment arouns that can do a better job. Still, missing such an item, I think it's a bit detrimental to how AROS is being "introduced" to a new-comer. A brief overview of the main features: - Decimal, octal, binary, hexadecimal conversions - A couple of useful (?) math shortcuts for powers and square root - Full memory registry use Now, here's the part where I'm asking for a bit of help - How can I officially dub this calculator? Nothing esoteric, but "calc" and "calculator" have already been used... - I said that it's working, but not bugfree I'd like a bit of your time helping me finding undocumented features unknown to me.As usual, bug reports should allow me to reprodure the error. Screenshots are welcome too. - Also an icon is needed. Any suggestions/graphic proposals? I'm attaching the binary, the sources will come after the last round of fixes. You can email me, pm me, smoke signs, pidgeons, etc. Thanks for your time.

nice job jman,
The zune interface looks cewl ![]() Quote: nikolaos wrote: Well, No it doesn't and therefore i don't (so much) ;-p. Something funny going on with divisions when i try: "20 / 2 = 1". Would be nice if it were .Also could the % be explained ? Is it perhaps just division by 100 ? No matter what: e.g: 100 % = 1, 100 * 50 % = 1. Or is % mod ? but then 7 % 5 = 0,35 (that indicated some sort of percentage). My pocket calculator does 100 * 25 % = 25 (25 percent of 100). also: 3 * 3 * 6 = 18 (i thought it was 54) (3 * 3 = 9 * 6 = 54 works ok) Why does 3 [x^2] shows six zeros after 9 ? [x^y] does not btw. have not tested further ![]() regards,
