I looked at this when I saw the announcement. It took a while because it is very confusing because most of the site is based on pushing the Aeros distro rather than just Amicloud.

I came to the conclusion that you do not have to buy a recurring plan. You buy the client at €5 per platform (Windows, Morphos, Aros etc.) and this will get you the basic 5 or 6GB of storage. I guess you have to register an account somewhere to use the clients because obviously they will ask you to login. But that's where it gets even more confusing!!

Where do you register? Everything seems to point to an IndieGo account but I couldn't really work out what one of them is because as far as I could see, and IndieGo! is a linux based PC that Aeros-shop sell.

Yeah, it was very confusing so in the end I didn't do anything. Maybe it is not so confusing if you have followed from the beginning and have one of these Aeros computers?

I also had a question...

What is the deal with the Amicloud service? Where is the data held? On whose servers? How do we know it is secure, etc., etc. With DropBox, OneDrive, etc. at least we know the company and we all more or less trust the service to be secure (as best as we can anyway, probably shouldn't put unencrypted sensitive data into cloud services). But I know nothing about Amicloud or where it has come from.

It looks like a great tool but I'd like to know more.

yes, from the client you can register, but maybe you have to buy it first, because I tried to do the recording but it does not work, this said I just wanted to contribute, I know that there are other storage services

Hi,
you can register using the client.
The USER-ID is shared with the indieGO-appstore.

Buying is possible in AmiCloud too. You can also buy it using the App Store or manually from ares-shop.eu or on www.aeros-os.org

https://www.aeros-os.org/rapidcartpro/ ... .php?catalog/all/-/date/1

IF you but it from the shop, it will take a while because orders are processed manually.

Which reminds me that we have a bug...
