Is there any way to view HTML-mail with YAM? I remember HTML plugin in AmigaOS opening HTML-mail in webbrowser. Is something like that for AROS?

I seem to remember it was possible to do this through rexx on OS3; I'll have a look to see if that's possible on AROS once the Recursion show is done.

Cheers,
Nigel.

I'd suggest to take a different route: just configure your GMAIL account to poll mail from your other account, and use OWB to read/write/manage it.

Hi Magorium,
Do you mean through the Zune html class? I was thinking of using a rexx script to push the file through to OWB. Unfortunately, I just tried one of the included rexx scripts with YAM and Regina immediately bombed out:

Regina error

Cheers,

Nigel.

That was my initial thought, yes. But i have to admit that i did not read the original request properly.

Yes, that could indeed be a an alternative solution (except for the fact that using OWB for that is imho a bit overkill).

I've noticed that there are still some difficulties when attempting to implement such things.

If i remember correctly (ergo strictly hypothetically speaking) you should be able to use OpenURL for this. I am not to familiar with YAM, but in case it is possible to have YAM export the original message (in html format) you should be able to invoke OWB automatically.

e.g. maybe it is possible to use a DOS scripting only implementation ?

Other than that, please enjoy the fair. There's no need to get distracted with my messages

Hi Magorim,
Yes, to handle html files at the moment I save the file to ram and then open it up in OWB, so one method would be to trigger a program to automate this once something is saved in a specific drawer or maybe push it throught a pipe. When I have a few more minutes I might also try sending rexx commands diectly to YAM via the Hollwood message port; if this sidesteps Regina it might not crash.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Hi Ball000,
That's what I was thinking of.

Cheers,
Nigel.

...and how to do links in emails working?
If I remember this is openurl related...

edit: this is openURL - it works, but unfortunately OWB crashes if runs from openURL :(
