Oh. I loved this player in my youth! I hope someone will port it to AROS if possible.

Unlikely, because most files have the suffix .s.

@slicer
Automatic conversions from asm to c , or from c to asm, never will produce decent enough result. Its all need to rewrite manually step by step, and only then.

Imho easyer way will be just clone whole gui/graphics, but write everything in the core from scratch, on C.

In addition to mazze's answer, for the more exotic filetypes you can use uade port from BSZili.

But, i totally get it. Hippo was my favorite as well (next to eagle player for the missing music format support). Hippo has a small, simple and clean interface.

Hello

I guess I've not been talking clearly enough. There's no need nor urgency to port HyppoPlayer to AROS, I can perfectly live without it or run through AmiBridge if I like to. It was only my surprise to meet a "old friend" again and I would have liked a native version *IF RELIABLE, EASY, POSSIBLE WITH NO EFFORT*. I know there are dozens of alternatives for AROS and I already use them.
