It appears GTK bounty will be finished on time (or close to it). What needs to be done after that, if anything?

Is there a specific program this wrapper is targeted at?

The list of functions for this *initial* version of the wrapper has just been taken from the AmiZilla project to simply *start* somewhere. So although o1i is implementing an even bigger set of functions than the bounty demands, there will be the need to extend the wrapper for many applications.

My idea had simply been to at least get an initial version of such a wrapper which can be extended step by step by other developers. By this skeleton it might be more likely then that someone ports a GTK program as if we would still just dream about such a wrapper which nobody would actually try to implement since he'd consider it to be a too huge task.

Exactly. If someone looks at a Gtk+ program and sees he needs to port 100 widgets, he won't even bother. If he sees he needs to port 2 widgets the wrapper doesn't handle, he's likely to work on it, improving the wrapper at the same time.

That's the idea. The wrapper needs to be improved with every port, in the beginning, only smaller applications can be ported, but with every port it should get easier.

It seems that a complete wrapper is possible, custom widgets can be wrapped, too. But a complete wrapper is still a (very) long way to go.

At the moment I am rewriting some of my earlier widgets, because I have changed the way, signaling works (it is now much easier to implement). But the signals of older widgets of gtk-mui stopped working of course. So don't expect any progress on the status page in the next few days ;).
